The residue was applied onto a silica gel column with ethyl acetate/petroleum ether (1:10). This resulted in 10 g (28%) of the title compound as yellow oil. LC-MS (ES, mlz): 200 [M+H].

1-Methyl-1H-1,2,3-triazole was prepared according to the literature reference WO2008/98104. Chromatography on silica gel (10% acetone-DCM increasing to 50% acetone and increasing to 10% MeOH-DCM) provided the title compound as an amber solid.
