EXAMPLE 5 A mixture of methyl 1,2,4-triazole-3-carboxylate (28.8 g, 0.22 mole) and beta-D-ribofuranosyl-1,2,3,5-tetraacetate (60.2 g, 0.19 mole) was melted and then 1.1 g of p-toluenesulfonic acid was added thereto.
