General procedure: An equimolar solution of 3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazole (0.99 g, 0.01 mol) and 2-hydroxynaphthaldehyde (1.72 g, 0.01 mol) in dry methanol (50 mL) was refluxed for 3 h, a precipitated product was formed during refluxing.
