The invention relates to the method for preparing 5-halogenated-4-aryl-1H-1,2,3-triazole compounds of formula I. Compounds of formula I wherein the dotted bond is a single bond or a double bond; Ar is Ph and 4-methylphenyl; X is halo; R is absent and H; are claimed. Compounds of formula I were prepared via halogenation of 4-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazole or 4-(4-methylphenyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazole. The N-halogenated agent is selected from N-bromosuccinimide, N-iodosuccinimide, or N-chlorosuccinimide. The process has the advantages of simple operation, mild reaction condition, low cost, wide prospect of application, and suitability for industrialized production, and the title compound can be used as important intermediate compound for synthesis of medicine.
