A mixture of 2,3-difluorobenzylnitrile (2.27 g, 16.3 mmol) and triazole sodium salt (1.33 g, 14.8 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (5 mL) and dimethylformamide (10 mL) was stirred at 85 C. for 4 h.
