The residue was purified by column chromatography eluted with a chloroform-methanol system to give 4-methyl-2-[3(1H-[1,2,4]triazol-3-ylsulfanylmethyl)-benzoylamino]-thiophene-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester as a useful intermediate (606 mg, yield 72%).
